Dr Michael Rees studied at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (hons) degree in 1993.

Michael has worked in a broad range of professional roles including School Dental services in NSW, Hospital based dental clinics , Oral surgery in hospitals and private practice, Teaching roles with the University of Sydney, Remote and Rural community work across several remote NT clinics and private practice in Darwin since 1997.

Michael also has significant experience in regulatory roles in Dentistry, serving on both the Dental Board of the Northern Territory 2018-2021 and the Dental Board of South Australia 2019-2021 Michael is a highly experienced general dentist with special interests in Implant based replacement of single and multiple teeth, the treatment of dental traumatic injuries and the multidisciplinary management of complex dental problems.

Michael has travelled to the University of Berne several times for advanced education and training in Implant Dentistry – including the management of complex and aesthetically demanding cases with implants.

Michael is a strong advocate for preventive dental care – guiding all patients towards a good set of dental habits that help ensure you and your family’s teeth last a lifetime – with less risk of complex or extensive dental treatment ever being needed.
